Sometimes it’s easier and even more enjoyable to learn together. There are several learning experiences that you can do with other people. You can attend webinars from the comfort of your desk, although you may not feel like you’re with others since it is a virtual event. If you work for a large enough company, you can organize learning events such as lunch n learns. And, if you have the budget you can attend industry conferences. When you attend conferences, there are two ways to learn. Attend relevant educational tracks at the conference. Additionally, be sure to spend time talking to people you don’t know. Pick their brains and let them pick your brain. Sometimes, those conversations can be extremely valuable learning experiences.

Another effective way to learn for career improvement is to consume digital content. No matter the topic of interest, you can find an abundant supply of content on the web.  If you like to read you can find blogs, newsletters, ezines, news sites, and more. If you like to watch video, you can find video on any topic on YouTube and Amazon. You may also find Internet TV shows such as HubSpot TV. You can also purchase audio books on iTunes and Amazon. I like to listen to podcasts in my car to make good use of the time on trips longer than 30 minutes.

Just go to Amazon, search any topic and you’ll find plenty of books you can order in a few clicks. If you want to buy a book on demand, you can download your book to an iPad, an iPhone or Kindle device.
